I knew that God had called me

I’d really be rich, all my dreams would come true

I was all out for education

But I didn’t wanna go all out with God

Whilst I sort myself out

I said: when I’m old, when I retire

I’ll serve the Lord, but life goes by so very quickly

Circumstances killed my vision for full time ministry

Why didn’t I wanna go all out with God

How can I turn around

And do what I didn’t wanna do

Why was I so wise in my own eyes

Now that I’m old

I wish I’d listened to the call of God

I wish I’d said yes but pharaoh would not let me go
