A Faithful Friend

Today I am glad I’m born again

Today I’m glad that I belong to Jesus

Today I’m glad I have Christian friends

A Christian family, brothers and sisters

Thank God for the church

Today I celebrate a Christian friend

I’ve had so many friends in my short life

You’re a friend who sticks closer than a brother

Who is closer than my sister

And I will stick with you

Just as you stuck with me

A friend

Today I celebrate a faithful man

A faithful one like you, who can find

Who’ll be with you in time of trouble

And help you when you’re down

And who will hold your hand

Not be ashamed of you

A friend woah ooh

Today I am glad I’m born again

Today I’m glad that I belong to Jesus

Today I’m glad I have Christian friends

A Christian family, brothers and sisters

Thank God for the church

I thank my God when I remember you

You have been a blessing to my life

No one does the things you do

No one plays the role you play

Today I pledge my love

My unfailing love for you

My friend

Today I am glad I’m born again

Today I’m glad that I belong to Jesus

Today I’m glad that I have Christian friends

A Christian family, brothers and sisters

Thank God for the church ooh, mmm

Thank God for a faithful friend
