Remember Your Creator

VERSE 1

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth

While the evil days have not yet come

Remember your creator before the years come

When you shall say I have no pleasure in them

Remember your creator in the days of your youth

Before the sun, the moon and the stars grow dark

And the clouds never go away

The grasshopper becomes a burden and desires fail

INTERLUDE

Remember your creator in the days of your youth

Before your legs start to tremble

Remember him before your shoulders bend over

Before your teeth start falling out and your eyes don’t grow dim

Remember your creator before opportunities are gone

And the sounds all around grow faint

INTERLUDE

And you rise at the first chirping of the birds

Before you near the grave and everlasting your home

INTERLUDE

Remember your God, my dear friend

INTERLUDE

Life as we know it, precious and beautiful

Will come to an end and you’ll say

My life was a vapor! What did I do for my creator?

INTERLUDE

Remember your creator

Remember your creator

Remember your creator
